Rumour has it....

The rumour mill continues to spin as fast as Spurs' revolving door transfer policy and after a relatively quiet start we seem to be up to our usual 'linked-with-just-about-every-half-decent-player' standard. Let's face it, this really is one of the best times of year to be a Spurs fan.

Lots more wheeling and dealing to be done before the window closes, but based on the current rumours doing the rounds, we could line up against Liverpool like this.

Gomes

Hutton/Corluka Woodgate King Henize

Palacios
Lennon Young/Cole/Robben!
Modric

Defoe Crouch/Van Huntelaar/Keane

On paper, that looks pretty tasty. Solid, experienced back line with Palacios provding cover. Lots of speed and penetration on the wings, a midfiled maestro in Modric and plenty of options up front.

Fourth place a possibility. What do you think?

Left wing wonder

News today that 'Arry also put in a bid in for Barry is a sign that he's still after a left-sided midfielder so we can expect this to be a priority for the summer.

He's reportedly a long time admirer of Stewart Downing and I've also seen rumours linking us to Martin Petrov of Man City. I'm in too minds about both as they can be hot and cold. Moments of sublime form followed by a game where they go missing.

We'll see what happens, but we have to trust in 'Arry to get it right. He's mentioned on numerous occasions about bringing balance to the team and I firmly believe we'll go into next season in better shape.

Palacios has turned out to be a fantastic buy so if he can follow this success, top six should be a given. Breaking into to the top four could still prove tough, though.

With Jenas, Lennon, Modric and Palacios looking to be the primary midfield players for the new season who do you think we should bring in alongside them?

Spurs Eye is on Twitter

Hi to all you Spurs Eye followers - are there any? Spurs Eye is now on Twitter - search for Spurseye and follow for updates and transfer gossip.

Spurs Eye is back for the silly season

After an injured plauged mid-season, Spurs Eye is finally off the treatment table and fighting fit just in time for the silly season.

Personally, this is one of my favourite times of year as Spurs continue to be linked with all manner of superstars, only to sign a dog!

Less than two weeks after the close of the season and the revolving door that is Spurs' transfer policy is already spinning fast! Seems it's mostly players on their way out at the moment with a bunch of reserves, Gilberto and Ricardo Rocha all on their way. Bentley, Hudds and Bent are also being linked with moves and I'm sure neither of our keepers is feeling too secure!

Who will 'Arry buy, will we have a good pre-season and could we finally, finally break into that elusive top four? Would do you think?

Here's to an exciting summer of 'Arry's wheeling and dealing - can't wait!!!!
