Dreams come true!!!!

Alright it was only a point, and alright we were a bit sloppy at the back, but this morning who really cares.

Cesc Fabregras reportedly said before the match that Spurs couldn't beat Arsenal Ladies. Well go stuff yourself mate - if last night is anything to go by your ladies must be one hell of a team seeing as we stuck four past your first team.

And if it hadn't been for the flapping anitcs of Gomes it could have been a completey different story.

This time last week, this result would have seemed like a miracle. Modric is starting to look like a player, Bent's got a renewed confidence and if Bentley carries on scoring like that, he'll be player of the season - for the whole league!

Four points and six goals from two games will boost confidence and there is every reason to expect our boys to go into Saturday's game firing on all cylinders. Can't wait - COYS!!!!

He's a wheeler-dealer geezer

You've got to love 'Arry. He's only been in the job for 48 hours and already the headlines are full of how much he's going to spend on players come January and even potential targets.

Kevin Doyle's been the subject of speculation already given that Comolli had him on the shortlist so has some bloke who plays for Bordeaux, who's leading scorer in the French league.

That said, if most news stories are true it seems the new-look Tottenham will look something like the old-look Portsmouth. I'm sure many of us would welcome Defoe back with open arms given his form since joining Pompey, but Diarra, Crouch, Johnson and even Distin and Belhadj are also being lined up apparently!

Of course a lot of this is just idle speculation and show's just how much the media love 'Arry and his wheeling and dealing.

For the first time in his career he's being given a wedge of cash so it will be interesting to see how he spends it. One thing's for sure - it's gonna be fun between now and Christmas to see just how many players we're linked with.

Let's just hope the goals are as prolific as the headlines. COYS!!

The Redknapp Revolution begins...

Out with Ramos, in with Redknapp in a whirlwind 24 hours that surely few fans would have predicted. Despite the blogs and message boards being lit up with calls for Ramos' sacking, few fans had any ideas of a replacement. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, suggested big 'Arry.

And while the headlines in today's papers herald the coming of a new manager there are much bigger things going on here than a mere change at the top. All credit to Daniel Levy for recognising that a change of structure was needed if he was to attract a new manager. And, if the evidence of yesterday's game was anything to go by, shifting the structure of the team could also unlock the potential that so many of us hoped was there.

Bentley on the right supplying cross after cross; Luka Modric playing just behind Roman Pavlyuchenko in a role that suited his talents and Aaron Lenon brought in late on the wing to provide some pace for the final 20. Spurs had balance and looked like a team - it was refreshing after that debarcle against Stoke.

Like many Spurs fans I'm feeling optimistic this morning that we can improve and with 'Arry we have the perfect manager to take us away from the bottom three, but let's not put the cart before the horse.

While yesterday was an excellent result the team's confidence will still be wafer thin and there's a long way to go before we start matching the form of Villa, say, who have been excellent so far and are surely the most likely challengers for top four honours. We also have some big fixtures ahead with the Arse and then Liverpool twice - two teams in stunning form.

So, while it's time to breathe a sigh of relief and start looking forward, let's be realistic. As 'Arry said yesterday: "We've got to escape relegation, anything else is a bonus."
